Starting in 1994, the Foundation's Archive of the Academy of Arts Berlin-Brandenburg acquired the theatre performances documentation held here. Since 1994, the Academy of Arts Archive has managed the GDR collection of theatre performances and carried on the East German tradition of documenting performances. Thus, further acquisitions have taken place so as to include documentation of Academy members from throughout Germany and from other German-speaking countries as well. Starting in 2000, the collection has been integrated into the Archives of the Performing Arts of the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
